SWAMP SALON SERIES
A presentation of The Orange Show Media Project
in collaboration with Southwest Alternate Media Project (SWAMP) and Houston Media Source
The Orange Show Media Project is a partnership with Houston Media Source and Southwest Alternate Media Project (SWAMP) to capture and edit intimate performances during the SWAMP Salon Series, performed by visionary Houston-based artists in front of live audiences at the Orange Show’s collection of unique properties.
SWAMP executive director Randee Ramsey and the team at Houston Media Source provided equipment and supervised and trained young videographers from SWAMPs summer film camp to create the videos archived below. With these videos, both the musicians and the iconic environments in which they are recorded are promoted in the city and beyond.

MUZAK JOHN
Live at The Orange Show Monument

Muzak John is an embodiment of the true Houston underground, a self-styled composer, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist that owes a debt to such freewheeling American originals as Daniel Johnston and the Grateful Dead. This set, his first at the Orange Show, is an exploration of his songbook as well as pocket synthesizers and the mini-guitar.
